El Paso

This was a lovely sign to see! These pictures are in no particular order of events. Hector's family lives about 10 minutes away from this sign, so we were more than ready to read it after 2 days of driving.

See? Can't you just see the giddy excitement?

El Paso is hot and dry, and amazingly enough, there is only like 3 swimming pools in the huge city! If you want to be a millionaire, move to El Paso and open a pool. It's a gold mine. So we played at the park for our out of the house fun. And it was!
A friend of Hector's brother manages a hotel there in El Paso and he let us come stay for 3 days and play at the hotel pool. It was a blast!! This is Hector's bother Rene and his niece Monique.

This is the drive home to Utah. Gabe as you can see has just eaten an entire pack of Oreo's. David is in the back seat behind him, barricaded in my a mountain of suit cases.

This is Rene, can you tell them apart? Actually, to be honest I will have to ask them if I got their names right in the pictures....

Aww, the cousins. From right to left it is Domonique, Gabe, Dylan and Angel. They were enjoying grass. No one has grass lawns there, it is way too hot and dry. So the only grass can be found in parks. It was lovely :)

More pool pictures. As most of you know Hector is not a fan of swimming. Not the water part and especially not the tanning part (deep breath to remove jealous feelings). So he was the designated kid thrower inner. They had a blast, especially Gabe, who now I might add rides the slides by himself and swims on his own!

A beautiful Texas sunset. They don't come like this in Utah!

More park pictures. There was a fine layer of sand in the bath tub after this day.

The twins' skateboards were the hit for toys while we were there. They rode them all day long.

Angel plays little league football and Gabe wanted to try on h is gear. He did enjoy it for a while, but I guess the helmet squishes your head after a while? You football people will have to tell me if that;s right. Anyway, he obviously was not patient enough for me to take a happy picture :)
