I am determined to enjoy running. I want to have it be my "get away from it all" time or my "energized start to my morning" Instead, it has always been something I know I should do and not hate it. I used to dance and our coach said one of our medleys was like running 4 miles straight... something like that anyway. But I would much rather dance 4 miles than run! :) Anyway, if anyone has any tips for how to "like" running let me know. I don't know why I am jealous of the women that run marathon's, probably cause I have never crossed a finish line before. Well, I WILL be a runner someday.

I have never liked running. And I am like you are and would much rather dance off calories than anything else. But when I do get up and run, I always run to my dance music. Then I go through the routine and you would never realize that you were running.
In the spring you should come for the kids morning fun run at the schools. It's not long but there is excitement in the air with all of the kids there and it is fun to watch there faces when they finish! Maybe that would get you excited about doing an actual marathon. I would do it with you if I had the time to train :)
This may not be your most motivating comment, but I am not the biggest fan of running. I do it because I enjoy how I feel afterwards, it's fun to visit with a friend(s) and races are a good goal.
