Trying to catch up- Fourth of July and the Melaleuca Summer Party

Seriously, a little tweaking and the picture above should be in a magazine! These flags were put up in memory of those lost in the war.

We went to the local Idaho Falls parade for the morning of the fourth. Yes, those are jackets and blankets. It was about 68 degrees all morning! We still had fun though!

Yes, our family is very energetic... to the point of obnoxious. We go all out for EVERY holiday. I apologize to those around us, but we had a blast screaming for the floats that had candy!

The girls :) Man, if there was an award for most American Spirit we would win!

The boys :) Not much decor for boys out there when you can't wear hair bows. We did lots with tattoo's and washable marker though:)

Of course the ladies had fun too! There is a large rivalry between all the high schools in Idaho Falls. My sister being Head Cheer Coach of the Hillcrest Cheer leading team makes us quite prejudice. Most of the float that passed were representing one school or another, which made for some entertaining responses from the crowd:) We can scream, and oh yes we tried our best. Go Hillcrest! :)

The Melaleuca Summer Party! This was a few days after the Fourth. It had warmed up by then... to about 100 degrees. We were SO HOT.

They had some really fun kids rides and carnival games and great BBQ.... best part? IT WAS ALL FREE!! Hooray!

The rock climbing wall. This was the biggest hit for all the kids, including Alex and Gabe. Alex did a great job making it to the top multiple times!

Gabe did a great job too, though his little arms couldn't get him to the top. Next year buddy!

This swing... contraption... was moved around and around by using HOUSE FANS. Really high tech I know.

Gabe's highlight of the day? The fire truck and the fire men spray water out for the water party! We snuck him up to the top of the hill an asked if he could help spray. This is his dream!! He turns everything into a fire mans hose and rescues people.

Thanks Fire Department!!
